  1. Terms of Service
    1. This website (www.juststartingout.co.uk) is operated by Just Starting Out ltd. These terms of service govern the use of services offered by Just Starting Out ltd on the website or mobile device (app). Such services, website, mobile app together are hereinafter referred to as 'service/services'.
    2. By using our services you (the user) agree to have read, understood, and be bound by the following terms and conditions, which encompass the following policies: Safeguarding policy, Civil Working Policy, Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy. Should you disagree with any policy/policies, and/or are not willing to be bound by these terms and conditions you should cease to use our facilitation services immediately.
    3. You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
    4. Rights as stated within these terms and conditions are not transferable to any other person/persons.
    5. We reserve the right to update/amend these terms and conditions. Such revised terms will apply to our services from the date of publication. By reading and agreeing to our terms and conditions, users thereby acknowledge the importance of checking these regularly to ensure familiarity and full comprehension with the current version.
    6. These terms and conditions, together with the Safeguarding Policy, Civil Working Policy, Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy contain the whole agreement between the parties relating to its subject matter and supersede all prior documents, discussions, arrangements and agreements.
    7. Service users (and any third party) do not have any right to enforce, or to rely upon any provision as stated in these Terms and Conditions, including under The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
    8. Should any court/competent authority find that any provision (or part provision) of these terms and conditions is invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision/part-provision will, to the extent required, be deleted/amended. The validity and enforceability of the other provisions of these terms and conditions will not be affected. Unless otherwise agreed, no delay, act or omission by a party in exercising any right or remedy will be deemed a waiver of that, or any other, right or remedy.
    9. This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted according to the law of England and Wales.
  2. Facilitation
    1. Just Starting Out ltd operates a service that aims to facilitate introductions between professionals and potential customers. By using our services, you agree to our terms and conditions, and adhere to a contract in terms of the provision of the facilitation of services.
    2. Just Starting Out ltd classes itself as a connection site, providing a platform where professionals are able to advertise their business to the general public.
    3. Just Starting Out ltd is not a party to any connections made between professionals and customers. The agreement reached between these parties is that of a private contract. Accordingly, Just Starting Out ltd carries no liability for claims, damage, injury, illness or losses arising as a result of parties connecting through our service.
    4. In order to use our services, you (professional/customer) will be required to accept these terms and conditions when prompted to do so on our website/app.
    5. Professionals are able to use our services to advertise their business to potential customers.
    6. Customers are able to use our services to search for a potential professional to carry out a service. Customers also have the option to 'post a job'.
    7. Professionals wishing to use our services will be required to complete the registration process in full.
    8. Professionals are to ensure that all details provided upon registration or at any time after, are correct and up to date.
    9. We may suspend or cancel your registration with immediate effect if you are to breach these terms and conditions. Cancellation or suspension of registration does not affect your statutory rights.
  3. Fees
    1. Just Starting Out ltd charges the professional a one-off upfront fee. There are no fees to the customer.
    2. The professional has the choice between four price plans. These price plans relate to the length of time that the professional wishes to advertise with our service.
    3. Just Starting Out ltd does not offer refunds of any kind, for any reason.
    4. Just Starting Out ltd reserves the right to amend any/all of the price plans without prior notice. This will not affect price plans that have already been purchased.

  4. Duty of Care
    1. Whilst Just Starting Out ltd takes all reasonable precautions to safeguard all users, we will not accept any responsibility for any issues, disputes or incidents that occur between professionals, customers, or any third parties.
    2. Just Starting Out ltd cannot accept any responsibility for the accuracy and reliability of any information provided by users.
    3. Upon registration, professionals must confirm that all information provided is correct, and not harmful, indecent or exploitative (including any uploaded files).
    4. Professionals must also agree to our Safeguarding Policy and Civil Working Policy in order to complete registration with us.
    5. Prior to revealing professionals contact information; a customer must confirm that they have read and agree with our Safeguarding Policy and Civil Working Policy, when prompted to do so.
    6. Just Starting Out ltd encourages professionals and customers to discuss service requirements in depth, so that a comprehensive understanding of expected results is ascertained.
    7. Just Starting Out ltd encourages the use of contracts between professionals and customers.
    8. Just Starting Out ltd encourages customers to pay a professional upon completion of the required service, unless otherwise agreed and stated in a contract between the parties.
  5. User Accounts and Security
    1. Upon registration, service users will be asked to create a password, which should not be disclosed or shared with anyone.
    2. If we have reason to believe that there is, or is likely to be any misuse of our services, or breach of security, we may require service users to change passwords, or may decide to suspend a user's account.
  6. Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use
    1. All content included on our website and app, unless uploaded by users, is the property of Just Starting Out ltd. In these terms and conditions, content refers to any text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, data compilations, page layout, underlying code and any other form of information capable of being stored in a computer that appears on or forms part of our service, including any such content uploaded by users. By continuing to use our services, you acknowledge that such content is protected by copyright, trademarks, database rights and other intellectual property rights. Nothing on this site shall be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any trademark, logo or service mark displayed on our site without the owner's prior written permission.
    2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, this includes but is not limited to: loss of profit, loss of business, loss of income, anticipated savings, business interruption, loss of business opportunity, fraud, fraudulent activity, damage to property, damage to belongings, theft, death or personal injury to any party, personal illness of any party, misrepresentation, misinformation, libel/slander by any party, loss or corruption of data/software, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or, any dispute that arises for any reason.
